Managed to get a Whiteline rear sway bar for Tig. It is a 24mm and damn, it is heavy! Now I have something to do on the weekend

Nice! You know you're going the wrong direction by adding more weight

Got a S3 Intercooler for Tig from a forum member Suffolk. He is a great guy has a very nicely moded black colour Tig. I think he is one of the very first guys got a stage 2 Tig in Aus

I heard S3 intercooler is perfect upgrade for Stage 2 power( which is designed for similar level of power) but may not be very good for K04 level of power. My plan is to run water meth or a twin intercooler when time comes to upgrade. But this will help me to go through winter till next summer.

I am planning to install it in DIY way tomorrow but heard it is going to be hard...

I've been promised an S3 intercooler so will be interested to hear how you go with the change-out. I'm not planning on going anything more than stage 2 so I think the S3 will be a good upgrade (though I know there are better intercoolers out there).

If it's a massive job I may have second thoughts and wait until I can afford the "real deal"

Goodluck with the install. It was great to meet another forum member. Glad the intercooler went to a good home.

Yes .. S3 intercooler is only 30% larger than stock one and intercoolers like APR's is 100% larger. But when you consider price difference and gains specially if not going for track regularly it could be hard to justify extra 1000$.

I try my best to do it in DIY way as it saves money and get more experience on working on cars which is also my hobby I have placed a order for K04 before APR price hike going to happen and this could prepare me for the big DIY .

Yes the APR gear attracts a bit of a price premium here unfortunately.

HPA Motorsport do a K04 kit for the EA888 which is reasonably priced. Though you'll still have to get a tune locally.

HPA K04 kit is really nice and specially they are going to make that tune suitable with their new TSI intake manifold which is really nice. If they get it right may be time to change the tune

On positive side for APR they are almost finishing a version 3 tune for K04 which promises more power ~380hp and torque.
