Questions from a newbie

Hi Guys,

I have bought a 2013 My13.5 Tiguan 132tsi Pacific a couple of weeks back. So far loving the car.

However I have a couple of questions:
1. RNS510 and POI - I have was able to import the db3 file into the RNS510, however I'm still not able to select the POI from the system. All POI options are greyed out. HW version is H70 and the SW version is 4120.

2. Fuel economy - I'm getting around 10-11 consumption (according to the MFI). Using 98ron and it seems like I'm getting around 480km per tank. Is this normal or way below? This is normal city/suburb driving. No highways.

3. Rear Camera - The car came with a reverse camera, however there does't seem to be any lines when I reverse back. Isn't there normally the reversing lines to help you guide your parking?

To upload this file from SD card onto your RNS510:
1. Create a new folder also called PersonalPOI on your SD card and save the PersonalPOI.db3 file into this subfolder.
2. Insert your SD card into RNS510.
3. Press 'Setup' button, then select 'Navigation' on the screen.
4. Select 'My Points of Interest' and select 'Import' and wait for import confirmation.
5. Now exit and press 'Map' on the screen whilst still within 'Setup', then select 'Select Map Details' on the screen.
6. Scroll down to my 'PERSONAL' Folder and choose the custom POI of your choice to be permanently displayed map is on screen.

I have MY 2012 132 TSI get 10km / litre around town, 7.5 on a country run. No idea what MFI says, these are measured. Seems to be around the average

Hi Ian,

I have followed your steps but when I go to the Select Map Details, that too is greyed out.

Not sure if its my db3 file. I have created the file from the VW site and through POInspect0r.

Can anybody send a copy of there POI so I can compare?

I got my16 132 7speed dsg, and the consumption around 10 also, i think that is normal.
