How old are the tyres?
4Mo will still experience some slippage before it can transfer some of the power to the rear wheels, usually more so if its wet with low tread tyres.
If anyone can offer some advice would be much appreciated.
About 2 days ago I was driving to work in the wet and I was getting some front wheel spin. I gave it a bit on a few take offs today on dry roads and was getting the same issue, front wheel spin and some torque steer.
I have a MY11 147TSI with a stage 1 tune and 7 speed DSG, it has 55K on the clock.
Previously even in the wet I can floor it on take off and never lost traction for even a second so I am sure the rear wheels aren't engaging.
Its due for haldex service at 60k, could this be the issue? or is it more likely a pump or a sensor or something. Would giving it a scan shed some light on it?
Any advice would be appreciated.

+1 check tyres, pressures and if they all look good then get someone to run a scan to see if there are any fault codes.
I would still get some slip on loose surfaces, but if you think it's excessive then you may have lost your rear drive.

did the Tiguan have any haldex fluid change at 36 months? it is the haldex fluid change interval.
not at 4 years, not at 60,000km unless you reach it within 3 years.
dealers charge $118 for haldex fluid change, which includes fluid of around $60.
could be a faulty pump or it may just need a clean fluid.
it should not slip on the dry at all.
3 years, from MY10-onwards for those playing at home.
I'd start with tyre condition. If the fronts are trashed, it'll wheelspin at the front no matter what. Even then difference in rolling diameter is enough to upset it all.
Even with 4Motion, they're still mostly FWD.

Thanks for the advice guys, forgot to mention that I replaced the tyres not long after I bought it 6 months ago, only done about 10K on them so they're fine, it has 18" rims and I run about 38PSI.
I did have a good read through the service book when I bought it and don't think the haldex fluid has been done so I might double check and get it done anyway since its so cheap. If the issue still persists I might get it scanned, although if I ask the guys at Prestige and Performance nicely they'll probably do it for me while I get the haldex fluid. I've just spent $2k on the Skoda there so they should be happy with me at the moment lol.
