It sounds unreal, but I had a situation with my Tiguan recently and needed to approach VW customer service. My car is out of manufacturer warranty and done almost 120k. There was a problem with manifold flap. To cut the long story short, VW offered their 'GoodWill', and they took care of a big chunk of the cost. The guys at Ian Boetther, Bundamba, were very helpful and so the people I had spoken at VW call centre.

I just thought I should share my story.
