[*]Park Assist is surreal. Great for spots that you think are too tight for the car

I got to admit that I always prided myself on how good I was at reverse parking, but the park assist gets me into spots that I wouldn't normally consider. It's a great option for sure.

How did you go with the iPod?

Doesn't sound like you had the MDI installed...
so on a 147 - there is the AUX port in the centre console...
and also a cigarette lighter port to charge it.
[But I'm guessing you worked that bit out)

In the RNS510 there is also the system volume level to set...
low, medium or high (under System - media in for me - as I have the MDI).

I started without the MDI... and was using the iPod connected via AUX...
didn't last long - I went back and had the MDI installed - now it sits in the glovebox! Much better!

Good to see another 147 in here though!

maybe $400 or $600?

Mmm I'm leaning towards the latter... but think I managed to talk them down a bit - as I had my RNS510 fitted at the same time.

I remember baulking at the cost (given what it is)... initially and thought about it a couple of times...
but since no regrets at all!
Well worth the money.

Only thing to remember is - don't leave your iPod permanently connected - it drains the battery! It doesn't seem to always turn the iPod off as you turn the car off.

I changed my aerial to the smaller one.
What a difference. Its only about 5 or 6 cm long, makes the car look a lot better.
The sound quality is no different to the original.
Got it from Dubaddiciton - definitely recommend it

After a long 3 months wait, we've got informed by vw today that the shipment has docked at port of brisbane.

Hopefully to pick up the tig within 2 weeks time
