[QUOTE=aussietig;746446]Totally agree ... looks more like a post it note than a rego plate!

So they've kept the Euro plate mounts but taken away the chrome trim around the fogs.

That just makes fcuken perfect sense VGA!

Cause you wouldn't want to over bling the 155TSI with chrome trim already on the bottom of the doors.

VGA sure knew where to cut costs!! Not! It's such a pity the nice standards they have in Europe such as high resolution MFD, dynamic light assist, lane guidance and the standard chrome trim to all models didn't come across to Australia! You can tell they skimped on the chrome! Totally agree with you on the number plates, then again I went for the $400 NSW Euro premium plates to hide that monster plastic post it note aka number plate

Maybe it is the result of the too much of the huggling from the car buyers in Australia.

The 155TSI cloth seats look plain compared to the cloth in the 147TSI.

Agree with the Euro plate base. If they were trying to save costs why not leave the plate base off like previous models!
Maybe it could be removed and install a LAKIN plate base. LAKIN Custom Plate Brackets

I weas really surprised when I took off my plates that they'd just tech screwed the plates into the bumper. And the guys who had put on the plates hadn't centred it in the car either. I'd be taking the plate base off unless I was getting Euro plates but at $150 a year (every year in SA) I wouldn't shell out. Even though I think the Euro plates on the car look great.

Looks like they have redesign the headrest (they actually listen to my complaint ), on the leather seat anyway. Looks like it can be extended to give support for the base of the neck. Hope it will fit on the previous model seats.

    You sure about that?

Apart from the fact that they don't fcuken listen to anyone, I think the redesign is more about cutting the amount of leather required.

I noticed the same with the head rest / support. It is actually wierd though if extended forward...it made me feel like I was sitting like an ostrich, cos of the way it pushed the head forward.

I cant see the sense in them really. Just another way of trying to say "that the new model is better, fresher, and so much awesomer than your old model"...That is car makers talk for making us all feel like we have to keep up with the new models they spoon feed us!!
sorry, woke up a bit cynical this morning!

The front end looks a cheaper version of the 2011 and I agree that the all red rear lights is not as good for contrast. The inside doesn't look much different aside from the comment on headrests. The bluemotion seems the only change of real value.

The cloth seats do look very plain.
At least the Gen 1 Tig's had a patterned fabric that broke up the view a little.

The headrest does look a bit irritating how it sticks forwards.
Could just remove all 5 and claim it was required for weight reduction
