Park Brake Fault Light After Fitting New Rear Pads

    Hi folks.

Had the Parking Brake Fault Light come on after changing the rear brake pads (2010 Tiguan)

Did the mechanical wind-out of the electric motors.

Brakes themselves are working fine - its just the Fault Light, and it's impact on the operation of the Park Brake. The Park Brake worked fine before I changed the pads.

Thought it might just need to have the code cleared, but my OBDII/EOBD reader doesn't seem to work with this car (I go it from ALDI - I know, I know...)

Am I on the right track with just needing the code cleared? Or is there something more sinister at play here?

    Cheers

    Alistair

Probably needs a vcds on it. The calipers get wound back electrically, "enter lining change mode".
    Then just push pistons back.
Then " exit lining change mode"
Might be ok without pulling it alart again
    Job done.
