Was out and about a lot this weekend and got the chance to use the park assist several times. I normally don't bother (have only used it 2 or 3 times to be honest), but I had some other people in the car with me and...well you know - it's good for a laugh when people in the car with you don't know about it.
Anyway, I've got to say that this system is really good. Not that I've used any other (although I've heard stories), but this worked spot on every time. Interestingly, I'd read that it needed a fair bit of space before it would do it, but in fact, it got me into a tighter space than I normally would have attempted myself unless I was really desperate. It came so close that even with the sensors screaming, it still hung in there - so I did, to everyone's amusement as they were all laughing and expecting me to hit one of the other cars, which I think would have given them even more amusement! Anyway, much to my relief, it worked faultlessly, and I was the one left laughing.
And of course, a couple of the people in the car that did I know I had it - but had given me much grief about it, are now thinking that it's not such a bad idea after all.

According to the book it will park in a space 1.5m longer than the vehicle, sounds like a lot until you try it manually !!! You're right, you CAN do it but the tIg just "breezes in". I like doing it when somebody on the footpath is watching, and I let it park while I've got my hands on my head, the look on their face is worth a fortune !!!
Cheers
