Original Dueler HP, Turanza ER300 or changing 18or19" rims and get s001

    Hi guys,

I used 17" S001 on my Liberty before, it was excellence. I mean perfect. full grip on dry orwet. not a single skid for 2.

Now i am driving the tiguan with 17" rim original Dueler HP. dry is all fine. but it is totally unsafe to drive on wet road(skid at corner and ABS always on, type pressure was on 40 PSI. Now drop to 35 psi, but still not feel confident with the tyres).

what do you guys think of this dueler??

secondly, i want to change my tyres. I dont think i will go for that dueler again. I am thinking to go for ER300 cos i dont have to chnage my rims. Or should i just change to 18 or 19" and get S001. cos i feel s001 is very reliable.
(any idea of how much for a set of new or 2nd hand 18" rim)

(I know there is anther threads for tyres, but i just want to compare this 3 options here)
    Cheers

That is Darwin's way of telling you to slow down in the wet and to drive as the conditions allow.

The Turanza ER300 is a fine passenger tyre. Certainly, upgrading to 18" or 19" wheels fitted with Potenza S001 tyres will let you carve up the road in the wet, but you would reduce stress, wear & tear and save more money by just driving defensively.

If you want to sell your 17" rims, let me know. I am guessing it is the same these wheels in this older thread:
