    Tiguan quote (no fleet discount)

I got a quote for Tiguan and Golf TSI, and noticed that the Tiguan does not attract a "Fleet discount" (for novated lease).

When asked, the salesman replied "...Unfortunately there is no fleet discount for the Tiguan YET!! (Due to the lack of stock available at present). This may change by the time the petrol models land but no guarantees., fingers crossed."

has anyone had any similar experience?

    regards

A guy I work with wants one and got a quote with fleet discount, but he's going to wait for the 125kw version.

147TSI available in manual in the UK and South Africa in RHD, so why not here .......

There is an R line Tiguan coming to world markets from 2009 as well..... no idea on engine specs yet though..
IS really bizzare about the transmission options, the UK dont even get auto as an option..Manual only!!!!!

Do you think they are trying to keep the price down to compete with the likes of Rav 4, CRV, CX-7 etc?

Was told by the dealer that the reason for the Tiptronic is because the DSG is not suitable for off roading and steep descents and inclines. Not that many off them will ever see more than a gravel driveway.....
Didnt say why there wouldnt be a manual with the 2.0T but I figure its just limited demand.

Its a joint intitiative by VW. If you cant drive a manual, buy something else

Is probably cheaper and definately better for offroading.

In light of the GTI engine having a few differences now, 9.5 CR chain driven etc etc.

I noticed that 147 Tiguan engines from other markets running this new engine, yet on the VW.AU website it clearly shows on the specs that it is the previous version of the 200hp unit.

What gives? Could it be from a point of view that Australia has 98RON readily available.

Interesting - Auto5000 GmBH - I was not aware of it yet have been to Wolfsburg recently. The video at their website mentions it is 100% owned by Volkswagen AG and was expressly setup to achieve 5000 jobs earning 5000 Euros per month for each employee.

Ref the Diesel - here are some real world #s

Vehicle Full when delivered - 60km on clock
Vehicle refueled with 800km on clock and fuel light just on. 56 litres added - about $100 at $1.80 - 8 litres remaining. Avg consumption by computer was 6.9l/100 on this new engine
Refueled and did first highway run. 140km used on this full tank so far, trip computer showing 850km to go.

Max range displayed today was 1010km to go after about 10km urban and 40km of freeway driving since filling up.

    Impressive!

Anyone know what the RRP is on Accessories?
    http://www.volkswagen.com.au/vwcms/m...ies_index.html
Keen to cost of things like floor and boot mats and tow bars are before I go talking to dealers?
I looked on VWA web site but could not find RRP?

EDIT: Called VWA who told me that they not give an RRP on accessories.
mmm...strange. I wonder why that is?
