An update for everyone. Went for these rims in the end - products with 245/40R20 tyres. I tried a wider tyre but it didn't clear the suspension, same with a bigger profile. Without mechanical mods, spacers or similar, I don't think you can fit any bigger.
Still has decent sidewall even with 20" wheels haha.
Looks okay, do you know how much they weigh?
I'm happy with the result.
No idea about the weight, I can only go on feel and it feels just the same to me.
Had a slow leak (bead seal on the inside of 1 tyre) so took the opportunity to do some weighing whilst repaired. Bloody BJTM cracked the centre-cap while they were at it... I now have the VW caps on.
Findings:
Stock 16" with rubber = 20.8kg's.
My 19" VMR's with rubber = 24.8kg's. (reportedly 11.5kg wheel) Therefore a tyre weighs 12+kg's??
Just posting FYI !
Cheers.
EDIT!!! Thats what i get for subtracting 2 numbers without a calculator, then trying to remember the results a few hours later...
