RS4 Replicas 18"x8", ET45, tyres 235/50/18, H&R Sport Suspension
Hey Guys,
There seems to be the same questions popping up a lot about the size and specs of peoples wheels, tyre widths etc so I though it would be a good idea to start a thread on it. Maybe the mods can make it a sticky?
Anyway, I think if we can post up our wheel brand and model, diameter, width, offset, tyre size, comfort factor compared to stock and a pic or 2 if you feel like it we can make an interesting and useful reference thread.
I'll kick it off with my own;
RS4 replicas, 18"x8", ET45, tyres 235/50/18, ride comfort is pretty much the same as stock, maybe a little firmer but barely, if at all, noticable. Also lowered on H&R springs (about a 35mm drop). I would have preferred an ET30 wheel to fill out the guards a bit more but they seem to be impossible to get in this style.

Rear shot might show the offset difference maybe (unfortuantely I don't have a before shot sorry):

That's a nice fat offset John, they're 9" wide yes?

Hey guys!
Nice idea for a thread topic. I would like to contribute in order to help all avoid the issues I went through with my new wheels. As many of you may have read on my other threads ("new wheels" and "huge vibrations in Tiguan") I went through hell with wheel issues.
As I am unable to repost the pics of the wheels properly, can someone please put them up on this thread for me? They can be found in the other threads just mentioned.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks Transporter!!!!!!
yep thats my car, (when it had the Advant Concept 18 x 9 wheels and Hankook tyres)
Loved the look and ride, but after approx 500 kms the car develped an unbearable shake at 115 kmh and up...As noted in the previous thread "huge vibrations in tiguan" it turns out that these were a few mms out in a couple of the holes, which wore loose the tight fit.
also the bolts were suspected as not being appropriate for the vehichle...
Such a shame, as I have had to go back to the standard 16" wheels which is killing me!!
Be careful with your choices guys, and make sure you go to a reputable place. (even though I went to a large "brand name" tyre shop, they still did not know what they were doing...)
