    My stock 18" is 235 50 18.

    255 45 18 would be a tad bigger...

Hi everyone, i've read this whole thread and cant find any info on a question i have. i really like a set of rims but the fitment is 18x9.5xET20.

Does anyone know if these would fit?

I seriously doubt it - unless you are running a body kit with large guard extensions. You'd also have to get the right stud pattern (5x112) and centre bore to suit (57.1mm) also.

I'm running 19x8 ET33 and these sit just about perfect with the guards. What you're proposing will have another 34mm poke - which is a lot.

You will definitely need some flared arch extensions to fit something like that on.

Suggest putting some rims sizes into this calculator and seeing how they will fit: http://www.willtheyfit.com/

Bummer! The same rims (5x112) only come in one other fitment and thats 19x8.5 ET45. i didn't really want to go 19"s but maybe it will be ok as long as i lower the car soon after they're fitted.

Don't be too afraid of 19's on the Tiguan. They still don't look like a massive wheel as you're running 40/45 profile tyres so still reasonable sidewall. I certainly wouldn't say they're uncomfortable. Tyres are a bit pricier, but you can get some reasonable deals if you're prepared to shop around.

You'll find a lot of the Golf fitment (ET45-50) is not great for the Tiguan as the Tig usually runs 10-15mm more offset (ET30-35). However the Scirocco and Tig are pretty close so what will fit on one will often fit OK on the other. Perhaps keep this in mind when looking at wheel options.

So the ET45 would sit just a bit more inward from the guards right? if so i don't mind if it's not as flush as i plan to lower it a bit more than lowering springs go and the less headaches with clearances the better.

How much further inward can a rim sit compared to stock without fowling on any suspension components? My first rim option had no good fitments so now i'm looking at 18x9 ET40

On that fitment website it says... inner rim which is 38.8mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 24.8mm more than before. (FROM STOCK 16x6.5 ET33)

    Hi guys

I've just recently bought myself a 2012 Tiguan 2.0 TDI and loving it. Upsized from my 2006 Polo GTI as we are expecting a little boy in December. I just want to customise the wheels and found some second hand genuine BBS CH wheels on sale on Gumtree. Dimensions:
    PCD 5x112, 18"x8.5 et35.

The centre bore however is 66.50. Will this fit the Tig?

Anyway... Figured out the BBS wheels would fit with hub centric rings, but didn't want to commit buying the BBS. Ended up getting 19 inch VMR710's in hyper silver. ET35. Glad I went for the 19's. Really happy with the look.
