Generally as you up size the wheel's get heavier = worse MPG, i have noticed a slight change for worse since i got my heavy 19's put on.

Braking is fine though, wider tyre = more contact = better braking imho.
Yeah i agree with you except on braking, adding rolling weight to the braking system, "should" diminish stopping power (assuming here) your putting more stress on the brakes to stop the heavier wheels...even if they are wider, am i wrong?

    Definitely agree to that.

Assuming the brakes are the same as my mk5 Golf GTI with standard 17", they just don't seem to have the same initial bite and require more force to be applied overall.

Definitely ain't getting the "flying through the windscreen" sensation, I was expecting from the GTI.

I like the looks of the 'Verve Black' and the "Avant-Garde' GMAX there is a picture of a Tiguan with the 'Avant-Garde' in their gallery.

    I know Jax sell them.
Those wheels however look like a replica of the Project Khan wheels so i would be a bit suspicious.

Also, cleaning them is going to be a bitch!

I haven't noticed any differnce in stopping power upgrading from stock 16's to heavyier 19's.
I still get that bite and almost put me through the windscreen if i hit the brakes to hard/quickly.

Thanks to Aussietig selling his previous wheels, My wife has some new wheels on her Car. Not fitting them yet, - will wait until her current tyres wear out, but I wanted a sneak peek to see what they looked like.

I'm sure someone has mentioned they've been running 255 width tyres but couldnt remember who. Could you please post up the rim widths and offsets you're running and any issues?

    Cheers
