    Nice rims BTW.
Pop out washer/spray for xenon lights! As useful as tits on a bull!

It's the last thing you want to accidentally turn on, after spending hours detailing the car.

Spray goes all over the headlights and bonnet.

I am still not sure why they are a requirement for xenon's.
They don't actually clean the lights and the spray goes all over the place as you pointed out.

Probably some archaic ADR complaince issue.

    Well my search continues...
Can anyone verify this?: The guy at the tyre shop reckons a reasonable set of low-profiles on 19" rims will only have a life of around half that of the stock Pirelli's on the 16" wheels... ie, around 20000k's. I guessed it would be a bit less, but half??

Also, what's the general consensus on these: (Enix Hornet by LWT) 19x8 ET42, 4 with Kumho for $2500-ish...

Not in my experience, I just got over 40000ks out of a set of 19" Bridgestone Potenza's (RE050A I think?). If his "reasonable" means "cheap", then maybe yes. But a good set of performance tyres will last fine.

    Hi MGV,
You after feedback for those rims??
I like them, but they dont make me say "wow they are awesome..."
Dont know why, but I think of Mazda when I see them...perhaps because I have seen a few CX7's with similar rims...

I dont mean to be rude either mate...sorry.

Perfectly OK, I'm still shopping around & in no real hurry, just want to get it right & be happy with kind of a pricey decision... Kind of favouring VMR's V713 at the moment...
So... What's a load rating of 96 mean?
    Cheers.

Sorry MGV ... I'm with tigger on this one.

But perhaps a bit more brutal. Design reminds me of those chicken feet you see in chinese restaurants during Yum Cha.

I assume we're talking about load index on tyres:

BTW, if you do decide on VMRs, I'd recommend you get a quote from Redline Motorworks and ask for Andrew.

My last enquiry would have scored me a set of 19" V701s shipped to Australia for under $1,400 USD.

I would also recommend that you check out the guys at TEMPE TYRES in Sydney. I have given them a big wrap before when I got my new rims. Very simple and easy to deal with! Great range of wheels too.
    Good pricing too.
I think they sell on-line from their website.

Mate, imho, asking opinions on wheels is like asking opinion on colour. Everyone will have their idea with what looks good, suits best etc. Go with what looks good to you. The sizing is what makes the difference to the car. To me, those look fine and not like anything I've seen before on a Tig (but then have you seen what I've got on mine?).

MGV totally agree with Team V. For example our Tig is Catalina blue which VW discontinued I presume because they weren't selling many and quite a few dont like that colour, but we absolutely love it and have never got tired of it. We've also had lots of complements on the colour and the car really stands out. Listen to your gut, and go with that on the wheels.......and good luck mate with finding what YOU want.
