OEM Reverse Camera Cable Connections in 2012 Tiguan - RNS510 Head Unit

    Ahoy V Dubbers,
    Reaching out from Inverloch, Victoria.
Recently purchased 2012 Tiguan and installing "high-line" reverse camera (looks to be OEM equivalent, purchased on ebay: RCD510 RNS510 RGB Rear View Camera + Cable + Reversing Image Box For VW Tiguan 665752083680 | eBay ) to connect into the RNS510 head unit.
Confident that I have the backend of things sorted, including tailgate handle camera, control module and cable routing to driver's side dash.
Can't seem to find instructions anywhere online to show exactly where cables connect at the front end.
The 26-pin connector is obvious (back of head unit), but wondering if anybody can comment on the remaining 2-pin plug and 3x single cables as per image below.
    Cheers,
    Kanga

Those are the CAN communication wires for Infotainment bus.
It comes with a nice little piggy-back connector there. So what you need to do is depin the same CAN wires from the quadlock connector at the back of the head unit, and then put those into the black connector there where there are empty slots.
Then the bare terminals go back into the same (take note of colours) CAN wires in the quadlock.
Now you have the infotainment CAN bus spliced out to the highline camera control module which can then talk to the head unit.

Red is power. Per OEM wiring that will go into the appropriate fuse location in fuse box C at right side dash panel end.
However you can cut off the terminal and use an add-a-fuse to piggy-back onto a suitable ignition-switched (terminal 15) circuit.

    Ahoy Kamold,
Thanks to your assistance, the connections behind the dash are all done.
Car will go into the workshop next week to get the coding updated.
Fingers crossed - Will let you know how I go.
    Cheers

    Cool.
Just need to enable reverse camera (6C) in gateway installation list, and turn on RVC in the head unit coding and also in park assist module.

If you want to save some cash by not getting it coded at a shop, I can do it if you don't mind driving this way

Hey thanks MIG, that's very kind of you.
The car is going in for some other work anyway and I will get the coding done while it's there.
    Very much appreciate the offer.

    Hello again,
    The mechanics workshop
(using Ross-Tec equipment) had a go at doing the coding for my newly installed RVC but I don't know if they got it right.
They said it needs to be calibrated before the head unit will display anything and they don't have the equipment to do it.
So I don't yet have any rear view and the head unit doesn't indicate that the camera is even there.
Do you think this is correct?

The unit worked without calibration when I put the original Highline camera in my Passat. There was an issue with the unit being from a CC, and it checked the gateway before working, but that caused a function not available issue on the RNS.

What is the part number on your camera controller?
