Noise after replacing tyres

I recently replaced the tyres on my MY11 147TSI Tiguan (73,500 on original Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport) with another set of the same tyres and had an alignment done at the same time.

I have since noticed that on bends I hear a 'whir' 'whir' 'whir' noise that disappears when I straighten the wheels but it's somewhat inconsistent in that it's not always audible on all bends, sometimes it seems to depend on the road camber or speed and sometimes it's just not there.

Firstly has anyone else noticed this on changing tyres?

It almost sounds as if the brake pads are 'rubbing' and it's difficult to tell if the noise rate is relative to the wheel rotation speed but it doesn't seem to be an obvious correlation (edit - except it does reduce in frequency when slowing to a stop).

Could it have anything to do with the CV joints?

The car was in for it's 7yr service just after the new tyres were fitted and I mentioned the noise and the dealer advised that the tyres were somewhat over inflated and they reduced the tyre pressure but the noise has continued.

I'm inclined to just let the tyres 'wear in' more and see if it goes away but in case it's a indicator of something that I should look into I'm here asking.

I had the same noise but also a terrible vibration on the freeway. The tyre place balanced the tyres 5 times and still couldn’t get rid of it. Bridgestone had no more stock of Duelers so ended up changing them with T001s at no cost. I’m starting to think perhaps there was a bad batch of Duelers. Go see how the balance is at 110-115kph

No balance problems at any speed, only when going around bends but not when driving straight ahead.

Was the noise you experienced also only on bends?

I noticed the noise around town the most but they seemed noisy on the freeway too, turning didn’t change the sound. From the sound and the balance issues I had I think the tyres might have been out of round. I don’t have the Tig anymore so I can’t go double check!

I have replaced the original Dueller HPs 235/55 R17 on my Tiguan MY15 about one year ago, and done about 45000 on them since then. I hadn't have any issues with them until about 2 month ago when light vibrations have started. I can feel them at lower speed (30-70km/h), they are stronger when going around bends. There is definitely more noise coming from the tyres that before.

Tiguan had 120000km service last Friday. I asked them too look at the vibrations as the car doesn't fell as comfortable as it used to be. The clear answer was that the cause for the vibrations are scalloped rear tyres and front tyres started scalloping. They also said they can't rotate the tyres because bringing scalloped rear tyres to the front will make the vibrations even stronger. I was really surprised because the tyres look really good to me, I always look after the right pressure, and they still have 5mm at rear and 4mm at front. The service guy has emphasized that this is a common thing with the Bridgestones.

I have brought the car for a check to the Bridgestone dealer today. The check was really quick (5mins). He couldn't identify any issues with the tyres. As I hadn't told him about the issues with them before the check he was really surprised to hear about them after communicating the check results to me. He hasn't changed his opinion at the end. However, I asked him to rotate the tyres/wheels for me. In addition to rotating them he re-balanced them as well. After picking up the car I still can feel the vibrations. It is difficult to say whether they are stronger or at the same level as before. However, it looks to me that tyres have really scalloped. The only solution to stop the vibrations (and the noise) is to replace them.
