Been talking to Guy from APR and the ECU remaps for the petrol Tiguans are only a few weeks away......

Apparently the base petrol and top of the range are mechanically identical but with different ECU maps and will have the same end result once tuned .... read 188kw ...

Best buy if you want performance as well would probably be the base 6speed manual and then add 17/18" wheels, the sport body kit and then the APR tune to it. Will make for a really nice and rapid small SUV.

I may still tempt my wife into it, even though it does seem a bit short on boot space. Moving the back seat forward my help though.

I am to the VW game and the forum, recently picked up a 103 TDI manual in reflex silver and have fitted a DP Chip to it (very happy) Noticed that you stated that VW have a deal with Hankook but mine came with Pirelli P6s on it. Looking to do more mods probably start with a bigger set of rims. Anyone else done this please post some photos.

Hi, new to the Tiguan club and liking it.

Thank for the above! but I reckon I'll wait and see what some of the other tuning companies come up with first . We just picked up our Tiguan 4 weeks ago, 125kw petrol big wheels, big sunroof, fogs and comfort pack. We are really happy with the choice. The sport body kit does look good in the options catalogue but didn't get a price for it, I am curious though.

    regards to all, Paul.

We didn't order, it was a cancelled order that our local dealer had with a similar spec to what we originally wanted. How lucky was that! purchased on the spot.

Sharkie, email from APR today says: "Currently there is no software option for the Tiguan. Apr have it on their list for calibration but nothing released as yet..
Keep and eye on our website for product releases in the future.

and when asked about your details above...
Unfortunately I can not confirm or deny these figures/claims . Waiting on information from APR regarding Tiguan. Do not have anything as yet.

    hope we get confirmation soon!

yep, that sounds spot on to me. E-mailing APR, they would consider you a general customer and until EVERYTHING is sorted and launched (to eliminate possible dissapointment on actual launch), i'm not suprised they would not release any info or data to you. Guy on the other hand, being a participating member on this forum and a mate to quite a few people here, will generally let you know what he knows to get us all amped up and to possibly get some pre-launch customers.

    Keep your best customers close!
