    Stock they make around 90 - 95 kw @ wheels, Pullstarters Mainline (Canberra) figures are pretty close to what has been seen in QLD & WA (on different dyno's):

    Michael, Dean has been trying to get a hold of you, he has a dyno lined up & a loan car whilst your Tig tested before & after runs - If you can give him a call please - you have his mobile number he tells me.

    Well well well, I decided to to a bit of stop watch action and wouldn't you know it APR advised me exactly what the outcome would be before and after in terms of 0 to 100, it is about a full sec difference from stock to tune, stock I was clocking 8.2 and in tune I was clocking 6.8 to 7.3 (6.8 with brake applied with revs), so it looks like nothing wrong with the tune, it must be making that power to get those numbers.. still maybe just me, I expect a little more back shove on pedal to the metal in day to day driving, even my wife gives it to it and she looks at me and we both agree with no words said, meh... My mate has a Mk5 GTI with I think APM tune, not APR but same power and that feels much fitter, he even told me before I got my chip that with chip my car will probably feel like a stock GTI as it is slooow, mine feels it needs power, APR should have develop a tune specific for the auto (well the non dsg auto anyway) for the price they charge, the gearbox can take it, from what I seen there is plenty of money in this industry and $1500 may not be much to some people but for me I wanted my expectations met.. I have gone from stock to tune a few times now, yes there is more boost but in day to day driving there is not enough wow factor for $1.5k, that is my belief and subjective opinion, again this can probably and most likely be the auto/power marriage, anyway no disrespect to Dean or Andrew they are top Guys, I thinks me just let this Tig be my wifes car and I move on............................... to................. mmmmmm been waiting all my 34 year old life for a performance car, reading Motor and Wheels every month, dreaming, have to make the right decision...

    So, Nindey, what are your mate's MK5 GTI tune times compared to his stock time?
    You should test your 0-100 times before starting this thread!
    Also, remember that the car can feel slower when you seat higher.

    i think for the power u wanted in the price range.
    I d suggest to get WRX instead.

    IMO, the very pushy power/launch modification is not APR or most other Euro car tuners and customers want. With Euros, i would prefer the driveability, smooth, comfort with a reasonable amount of power for fun. That might be a reason you dont feel the ON and Off pushing power through your back. And that is just a 2.0 with a tiny turbo and a fairly big car.

    I came from a few modified japs import and a sport bike. so I guess i might understand your feeling.

    Let's summarise this thread:-

    You complained that the tune was disappointing and not worth the money based on nothing more than your perception rather than fact.
    The APR agents checked the car over and bent over backwards to ensure that all was OK (I bet they didn't charge you for their time)
    The APR haters, as usual climbed on board and made disparaging remarks about APR
    You compared the performance of your 1600 + Kg Tiguan to a 1380 Kg GTI.
    APR & their agent organised a dyno and a free loan car so they could identify for certain if there was an issue.
    You now do stopwatch comparisons that identify something like 1 second off your 0-100 time.
    You again start waffling on about your mate with his APM??? (never heard of them) tuned GTI which is 200 + Kg lighter than the Tig.
    You say APR should develop a tune to suit the auto?????? and have the audacity to once again complain about the APR tune not being worth the money.
    You start waffling about performance cars featured in those dinosaur centric magazines Wheels and Motor and say you'll move on.

    Some people are hard to please, APR and their agents have gone out of their way to ensure your satisfaction and to prove their product is as described and all you can do is whinge.

    Time to end this thread.

    but, let have the APR the final word, should they feel like, and I hope that we can spare the OP of more comments. The above post says it all.

    Any future complaint about the tune without any prove, other than the dyno in his/her backside, won't make it to the second page.

    Correct, perception is everything and the verbal sell was “Day and Night”, "HUGE" etc and I didn’t believe that personally once tuned, I have only expressed my honest feelings against a product that demands a hefty price, I am not an apr hater at all and my last post does say my opinion is subjective and I have nothing against Dean or Andrew, Dean did do a follow up check on the car and I was extremely happy for that but he didn’t do a dyno. Now my car stutters and loses power on full acceleration and I cant get access to the tunes with the cruise control stick, anyone know what this is?

    Have you had a look at the apr website to make sure the method you are using to switch programs is accurate???

    Also, when are we expecting hte sound-clip of the resonator delete?
