My mate has a Mk5 GTI with I think APM tune, not APR but same power and that feels much fitter, he even told me before I got my chip that with chip my car will probably feel like a stock GTI as it is slooow, mine feels it needs power, APR should have develop a tune specific for the auto (well the non dsg auto anyway) for the price they charge, the gearbox can take it, from what I seen there is plenty of money in this industry and $1500 may not be much to some people but for me I wanted my expectations met.. I have gone from stock to tune a few times now, yes there is more boost but in day to day driving there is not enough wow factor for $1.5k, that is my belief and subjective opinion, again this can probably and most likely be the auto/power marriage, anyway no disrespect to Dean or Andrew they are top Guys, I thinks me just let this Tig be my wifes car and I move on............................... to................. mmmmmm been waiting all my 34 year old life for a performance car, reading Motor and Wheels every month, dreaming, have to make the right decision...
