Ok, I've found out that they are pretty much plug and play and you can modify the bracket easily so they sit up high.

The downside will be that there is no side guard for the bottom of the seat so you can see the framework underneath and that while the airbag would plug in, it wouldn't be shaped correctly or exit a the right part of the seat to provide adequate side protection. In other words, it's not worth the hassle.

Even if it was perfect insurance would have a field day unless it was a listed modification, and even then they would be rather shaky about modifying anything airbag wise.
