Long drive to Perth in a Tig......

    Hi all,

I am planning a month long touring holiday to south west of WA and back in January, giving the car a much needed workout. For those who have traveled between Adelaide and Perth, is premium 98 petrol plentiful along the way?

Judging by the distance, the car will need a service once in Perth, any recommendation on independents (mobile or workshop based) would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Sounds like a great adventure! I took my Tig about half way - Streaky Bay - 2 years ago & 98 was not available in a lot of places... 95 was, & I just used that most of the way. My car didn't miss a beat the whole way (5000 km return trip) which included lots of gravel & sandy roads & hot conditions.

The ferry across the Spencer Gulf may be running again?

Can recommend Streaky Bay! Have fun & keep us posted!

Hi mate.Hope your trip to perth and the southwest comes off.If you are looking for excellent service while in perth, dont hesitate to go and see Joe and Phil at Elite Euro in Wangara north of the river.I wont go to anyone else for service on my Tig,they are absolutely awsome and know their VW's backwards.Nothing is too much trouble for them. Most of the time they can fit you in at reasonably short notice.
    Best regards and safe travelling.

Feel free to PM me when you're in town (Perth or Down South in WA) I travel between the two a lot.
