Coming up 4 years on mine suggest you try the spare you can always open by unclipping the thumb clip and use the key to open. Place the key in the ignition within 15 secs to prevent alarm going off if you have one fitted RTFM!
Hi Guys, I was just at the servo for fill up, on returning from paying the I couldn't unlock the Tig!! the light on the key was lighting up indicating a signal but the car would not respond..... to about 5 goes and it finally let me in.
Question..... How long should the battery last on average? (it's a daily driver so regular use) Tig is now 2.5 years old.
Car is up the garage safe and secure but too scared to lock it incase she won't let me back in!!

You can always unlock it manually by popping off the lock cover on the back end of the door handle if the battery fails.
I would hazard a guess at 3 years for the battery?
Thanks guys, lost the spare so the manual unlock trick will have to be the back up plan for now..... btw, I just tried it a few times and it's working fine now..... wierd......
