Just took delivery of my 155 R-Line

Just picked up my 155 R-Line today!

A little bit about myself, just traded in my scirocco, been in the performance car scene for the last 10 years.. jumping from rexy to 350z to sti to mx5 and then the scirocco. the tiguan will probably be the tallest car I ever owned.... good thing is dont need to worry about speed hump anymore!

Here is the little black tiger!

And have done the first mod............................. not really... just change of light globes...
I just don't understand why VW Australia does not provide bixenon as standard in this so called flagship model.... and could not even order that as an option.

Dropped in some Phillips Crystal Vision H7 and Konik H15 DRL (with high beam), also some led parker light.

The led parker compares to oem globe

Now let see how many weeks I could stand this until a bixenon conversion............

Nice work! Bulb upgrade is definitely a good result. Agree that it's an oversight by VWA not to at least give people the option box to tick for bi-xenons. It's a head scratching decision as they're fitting them as standard to the Passat.

Anyone that changed to LED number plate without have error? I have 2 set of "error free" led but they both failed...

    is that a tiguan problem?

I changed my number plate lights and got no error, they weren't even error free ones......
Might just be a newer canbus in the 2014's that is more sensitive.

For some reason the Tiguans are a little more sensitive than a lot of other models.

I put in R-dash ones in my 125TSI and didn't have any issues with bulb out warnings.

I know other people tried and failed with some of the cheaper supposedly error-free options.

And I have a noob question ... What other light will give light out error? does that includes front parker light and interior lights?

The funny thing is... I put the set of number plate led light in to my parker light... and it worked with out throwing error............

Front parker lights throw errors for me.
I have all the interior dome light and the rear licence plate lights and had no issues.

The license lights do look different to my tiguan's. Mine use 2 screws to put on the car. I use Rdash with their resistor and has been fine for 2 years now.
