How to re-glue side mirror?

The driver side read view mirror on my 09 Tiguan TDi came un-stuck.

I was driving along and the mirror started shaking horribly. Managed to pull the actual glass piece off before it fell and shattered. So it's all in 1 piece and I need to re-glue it somhow.

Our Tig has a heated mirror.
Will araldite be OK to use given it's a eating?
What glue should I use to re-attach it?

i think i would be using Stixaflex adhesive ,but you will also need some masking tape to hold it in place for a few hour till it sets ,

Thanks. You mean this stuff: Sika 310ml Sikaflex 11FC Grey Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant

Clear would be better but the grey is ok as its not seen once applied ,only use a few dabs on the backing and make sure its clean Alcohol or Metho

I ended up getting Liquid Nails for glass: Selleys 310g Liquid Nails Mirror Metal And Glass | Bunnings Warehouse slightly cheaper. Worked well. Mirror seems pretty well stuck on.

Same problem here...
Wondering if your heating function is working okay to defrost the mirror?
And how much of the Liquid Nails did you use (e.g only around the edges, over the entire surface, really thin film on both the mirror glass and the side mirror)?
