That's typical! Change what's right with the styling, not what's wrong.
It's not the front of the Tig that needs restyling, it's the rear! I can't tell the diference between the Tig and a new allDai everyDai!

I actually quite like the rear end and dislike the front. I think the Chinese version is better from the front ....

I saw a press release about future vw models and it stated 2015 for the Tig II
Will try and find a link to the story.

Also, i believe the official story about the Chinese tig was a deal with VW and a chinese company that is soley for the chinese domestic market:
At the 7th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Show, which opened on Monday, Volkswagen and its Chinese partner Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (SAIC) revealed the 2010MY domestic market version of the Tiguan SUV. In comparison to the current Tiguan sold in Europe, North America and other international markets, the Chinese models features a new grille that extends to the headlights and a re-profiled front bumper.
Inside, from what we can tell by looking at these first official photos, changes are limited to a new three-spoke steering wheel and the redesigned instrument panel that features two central gauges incorporating two smaller dials.
VW Shanghai's press release does not clarify if these styling changes are exclusive for the Chinese-spec model or if they will pass on to the Tiguan sold in other markets as well.
there's an awefull lot of info in that link that scares me like:
"The new mid-size sedan due in 2011 will be larger but less expensive than the current Passat and will emphasize size and value over autobahn breeding. A VW executive in Wolfsburg told us: “U.S. customers look at size and engine displacement. They won’t pay an extra dollar for a Passat over a Camry just because of its finesse and attention to detail.”
and then this:
"And while VW might be eyeing Chrysler’s lost sales in the U.S., the global targets are more ambitious: Winterkorn seems determined to take on Toyota".
It's pretty common knowldge that the reason Toyota has stuffed up badly over the last few years is because of their sole ambition to be number one world's biggest car seller - at the expensive of quality.
I wonder how that thinking will translate across to Audi etc?

$40800 drive away?
GOOD DEAL?
$40,911 base drive away price (38,968 according to discountnewcars)
+2,500 (auto)
+1,000 (comfort pack)
+400 (fogs)
44,811 Drive away or 42,868 through discountnewcars.
10% off total drive away price is okay but you had corporate discount so that is the 10% right away.
I would see if you can get them to go down a bit further or chuck in window tinting for free to seal the deal.
