They told me best they could do for this was $2800. Skoda are clearly advertising the same Allianz backed warranty for $1650, so thought my offer was fair.

Has anyone recently got pricing on the 2 year extended warranty - VW with Allianz backing?

    Thanks,

I think you can get the extended warranty for around $2,000-$2,200 if you shop around.

You can always get this later as long as it's still under warranty.

An update from my earlier post.
Been informed that the R-Line $44500 price will be valid till around May. Anyone getting a better driveaway price?

    2015 Tiguan 132tsi R Line - Is this a good deal?

    Hey Guys

First post in the Tiguan lounge, thinking of selling both Polo GTI's and getting a Tiguan simply for the room and comfort.

Found a great deal on the following,

2015 Tiguan 132TSI R-Line with the Fabric seats
    Pearl Black Paint
    38km on the clock

    $38,925 drive away

What do you guys recon of this deal? I'm in no rush but is worth holding off until the new model is released in September or pulling the trigger now

    Here's a couple of photos

Driveaway pricing on the Tiguan 132TSI is currently $36,990 which is already pretty sharp pricing.

Options on the car you're looking at are metallic paint at $700 and R-line kit at $2,500. So this ends up at $40,350 list price. Your price of $38,925 is a $1,425 discount which is probably reasonable given that the car is already discounted to $36,990.

I am inclined to wait as I consider it is worth holding off until the new model is released in September. The My16 will make the current models better value then, I hope!

I'm not sure there's much more that VW can throw at these cars. Most of the options from early years are now standard features.

Though they do need to keep the model going for another year so it will be interesting to see what gets done for the MY16 update.

The R-Line appears to have most of the 'stuff' already included.
    Did not get sunroof though.
About to fit tow-bar and a pair of 6" light bars to make the efficient high beam more effective.
