    tigger73 thanks very much.
How much downward pressure will this put on the sellers of used Tiguans?
I imagine there will be a few owners upgrading and dealers will trade in's will reveal where used prices are going?
I like the idea of the TDi 6spd auto with 4 motion, really have to drive one first.
    Cheers Al

I reckon it's a fair bit. When I bought my Tig 6 weeks ago, MY12 versions with low mileage were only a $2k saving from the new price. At $27,990 that's almost $5k off list.

I mentioned this to the dealer and they agreed that this offer wasn't going to be great for the nearly new 2nd-hand market.

Whenever a car manufacturer discounts the "old" model to clear them out before the "new" model comes out is never a good time for the existing owners as it does have an impact on the resale price.

I much prefer it when manufacturers load up the extras to shift the older model rather than dropping the price.

I'm sure introducing the 118TSI has had an impact on the resale values of the AWD models, though for VW it's brought another group of buyers that maybe wouldn't have otherwise bought a Tig.

I will continue watching the prices on Tiguans .... particularly the TDI Auto 4 Motion. Really, I like the white. Silver is OK too.

What would be reasonable/low/high kilometers and what figure is too high/many? for a well serviced/cared for Tiguan?

Oh and query for the experts.... is there any colors in VW that are not metallic? Plain old white would be just fine!

Is leather worth it? Insurance costs?

I think leather is worth it but then I have kids and the easy to clean factor is really helpful. Don't pay over the odds for it as it can be done aftermarket for about $2,000 (vs the $4,000 for it new from VW).

As for insurance costs, I have a 118TSI manual with leather, tinted windows, RNS-510+RVC, Rating 1 for life and 2 drivers over 40 with a $500 excess For all of this, I pay $525 per annum.

Just put some money down on a 103TDI.
Went for the Wild Cherry Red. No other options fitted.
Should pick it up next week.

My wife and I went into denlo in parramatta this afternoon and were nicely surprised by the runout pricing as it's happened right when we've decided to finally buy a tig. They had 2 2013 models in the used lot and their sticker price was $500 higher than a new 2014 tig! We're hoping to buy a car by the end of this week. Fingers crossed.

I live in perth and just got myself Tiguan 155tsi R-line as a package from my office . very happy except that MY15 models cant get Bi-Xenons (not even as optional )

been reading the forum for the past couple of weeks and its been very helpful. Hopefuly i can find a way to add Xenons later.

    Welcome and nice choice!

Yes there seems to be a few options that have dropped off the Tiguan options list which seems as little puzzling.

Unfortunately aftermarket bi-xenons are expensive as to be legal they need to be fitted with auto-levellers and washers.
