nice looking car that is. i would be definitely proud to drive one. but in that fit-out you would definitely be above the LCT threshold :(
god dammit that would sound good with an upgraded flash and that exhaust system...:D

I think something got lost in the translation between the Tiguan Concept and the real thing. Probably due to the marketing dept.
VW should come up with a Tiguan R20?? (being a 2L engine)
needs to be bigger than a 2.0L to be an R-Line Tiguan. there is already a 2.0L tiguan, same donk out of the current Golf GTI (2.0T). a naturally aspirated R20 would be something relative to a Polo, and even that would not be enough, seeing as the 1.8T would smash it to bits. The tiguan needs to be a naturally aspirated 6cyl R34, so it can slot in between the R32 and R36. or maybe just use the R32 engine seeing as the 6cyl is being made redundant.
now just to carry on even more, apparently there is an R-Line planned for the Tiguan and it will have a diesel donk. maybe the 3.0L 6cyl TDi from the Touareg?? and twin turbo'd.......hey, the Touareg R50 got a 5.0L (well, 4.921L....close enough) twin turbo diesel V10, so why not strap another snail to the Tiguan.
Cheers,
Rhys
thats nice i quite like it.
The R20 was rumour to be in the works with the new common rail TDI......
Saying all that VW are expected to debut a twin turbo TDI producing around 204hp in the GT TDI Golf.
So expect this in the Tiguan.
V6 aint gonna happen due to current market ;)
Check out the engine models here (have to use the drop box to choose which model vehicle):

There are a large number of variations - 4 diesel variants; 3 petrol variants.
