Thanks for all your replies, ended up going with the P6. I could of got it much cheaper online through a mob called ozzytyres but the need was now. I certainly will be considering the hankooks if the P6 doesn't live up to the previous tyres. The deterant wasn't price as it was on a $10 difference it was the recommendation from the tyre ppl then again I'm sure they said anything to get rid of them. Either way I'll be back for 2 tyres in a few weeks and maybe I'll have no other choice.

As for a service I'm gonna go with a vw specialists the cost is $200 cheaper than dealers and they tell me they use the certified parts and oils. Which from what a jax advised it was all the same in some respect. But after the bs last time thru ultra tune I'm not going to take the risk.

I definitely wouldn't be taking the car to ultratune/generic service company.
Get it to a dealership or a vw specialist as they know more about the cars and have all the diagnostics to support them.

after doing some research on ozzy, i think you'd be glad you stayed away from them.

I believe they don't make Pirelli P6s anymore. I had them when stock and replaced them with the last set available in Sydney....(that was what I was told)

Can't go wrong with the P6, quiet and lots of grip. Just make sure the pressure doesn't hit below 240KPA, the body roll gets immense...
I think they are still in production somewhere as P6's are on my MY12 which is so new it hasn't been PDI'd let alone collected by me !

dekl, how much did you pay for your p6? I'm looking at replacing my Hankooks. Can't decide between them, Pirelli P6 or P4 and Bridgestone 683. Thanks.

Dekl, try Volkspower in Burwood. Taken the Jetta there twice now and am very satisfied with the service.

Dekl, I second Volkspower. Being taking my Golf there for a whilke now and found them to be best no VW service.

They also seem to know quite a few of the VW dealer service guys if you ever had any issues with warranty.
