Those springs from Orange Tuning, 35mm drop? That's too much for the standard shocks!
When you hit a decent undulation the bump stops will be hit
I can tell you from experience when this happens at speed it's alarming how the car reacts

Go for Eibach springs (they give a small drop that is ok for standard shocks)
or an entire Eibach spring/shock kit - which is what I did
The Bilstien shocks that come in the Eibach kit are really good
(took me two weeks to stop raving about the handling - so much better than stock shocks)

APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks

Finally the springs have settled and the ride is better. I'm also running 19x8.5 et 45, handing is awesome and looks a treat. Will post post some pics asap. Go H&R!

    Hey Naresh

Let me know when you want to upgrade to 20's. I'll buy your 19's. Just waiting to take delivery of my 132Pacific and that will need some upgrade soon. Who did you get your eibach springs from? I'm very much an Eibach man, have had them just about VW I've ever had.

    Cheers

Any idea how long the stock shocks should last? And life expectancy once lowered 30-35mm?

Just trying to work out whether to replace the shocks at the same time... given that it's really not any more work for the fronts at least.

How many km's on your odo, tigger73?

I clocked 70000 today with 25000 on the Eibach springs over the last 12 months & the original stock shocks are still fine...

On a side note, really happy with the wear on the Bridgestone RE050A's... Around 50000 on them now & they are still looking ok, may get another 10 out of them! Rotated the wheels several times over the last 2 years.
