Hi all,
Need some help, although I've got a feeling I'm f**ked. Lol
Installed my aftermarket headlight recently and was adjusting the headlight beam higher until I felt a pop after tuning the adjuster too hard. The low beam now is aiming far too low - like only 5m in front downwards. And no matter how I keep turning after that, I can't aim the beam up.
I'm almost 90% sure it's the adjuster after Googling a number of forums an DIY threads on the net.
Problem is... It's an aftermarket headlight. So I'm not even sure if the adjustment 'ball' can be replaced at all (if it's broken). If its dislodged, then I might be able to get it back into position again. But my hopes are dim at this stage.
Hoping for a miracle, has anyone did or know anyone who does this sort of headlight repairs in Melbourne?? Any avid DIYer could help or advise?
Any help or referrals appreciated.
Sigh.
Hi,
I feel you're pain - thought I'd done something similar when just replacing park light globe with LED one recently. Have to put it in holder which is on long stalky thing to get it into front of headlight housing, but turned out replacement bulb too big and got jammed - bent the holder and spread the terminals when twisting and turning to get it out, but LED one is good tight fit so might have dodged a bullet! As to getting just the adjuster - notice that original light (halogen not HID) is made my Hella, so maybe can buy parts through them?! What is the after-market one you have?
Cheers
