    Few nagging questions from noob

As the post title, few nagging questions.
Nagging because some of it I think I know why than again I need some conformation from the sages of the Wcooled and some, I have no idea.

    1. How or what best way to approach service department about rattling noise?
I definitely hear rattling from front passenger side (I just don't like how some assume that I am sensitive nit picking female who hears things and that my expectation of car is too high)

    2. Anyone experienced heavy or thick rubber rubbing kind of dull noise from the low speed breaking?
I have other car and driven other cars with ABS and this is new to me...

    3. This one is bit scary. Going up really steep uphill with on-hold made really loud noise.
I could feel that transmission was all kinked up or something and the hideous noise was scary.
It was like metal grinding kind of noise....
It only happened twice, one was hill start and the other was low speed pushing up the hill.

    4. On sloped parking spot whether it be side slope or up/down hill slop, accelerator gets really heavy and feels that transmission is all kinked up again but no metal grinding noise. (I don't use on-hold for this)
I don't know if it's normal but I hate to give or push accelerator that hard when I am surrounded by other cars or so close to the walls when parking.
I look like an idiot for raving up so much just to park and just in case if the car does take off...
This really feels odd. I am having difficulty explaining this...

I know, I have to face my demon to make that call or drop into VW for rattling noise but I just want to be bit more equipped so that they don't serve me a coffee with smile and say 'it's all normal, just relax and drive as normal... nothing to fix...' In which point that I will throw up green goo and go psycho and I hate it when that happens to nice people at VW.

I definitely want to hear from Wcooled first before I talk to service department.

Check out the thread in the tiguan section/golf 6 forum as it has the technical service bulletin number which they can look up that states the issue and the fix.

The other issues i have not experienced before but could be linked to the mechatronics unit of the DSG?

    Welcome to the forum vundabar
    1. is most likely noise from the inside of the B pillar; 3. and 4. could be linked to the DSG. I'm sure that any good VW workshop would take them seriously and should fix them (providing that there is a fix for them).

    Thank you team_v and Transporter.

I feel that I am lot better equipped to deal with my issues and dilemma now than this morning.
It was very daunting and took all my joy and excitement of having my first VW.
Spent many hours reading and combing threw this forum and I am little bit overloaded with informations.
Mind you, I am mechanically challenged...

I better get in contact with service department.
    Wonder what lie ahead.

I am feeling little down and out with it at the moment.
Wish there were short course or class in VW for new owners to learn and get use to all they got to offer.
I read owner's manual, back to back and I was surprise to find out that there were so much I didn't know...
It was bit challenging for a person like me who speaks English as second language but I am glad I did.
    Wow! What a giant whine!!!

Better call service department first thing in the morning and see.
    Wish me luck, guys.

Hi, & yes let us know! I will be having the B-pillar sound looked at in about six weeks when going in for a service. I think they pack the inside of the pillar out with something to stop whatever it is in there that flaps/rattles.
Is the dealership you are using in MEL or SYD?

I just came back from service appointment.
Bought this car in Mel and primarily be using it in Mel so it's the dealership/service in Mel.

    I am worn out.
    Regarding rattling...
Put the VIN in their system and said 'nah... nothing showing on our system and there shouldn't be no problem.'
Mechanic who drove my car around cannot hear anything and I couldn't either today... So I am the neurotic psycho babble.

Other problem with noises and so force...
Apparently, I am the one who doesn't know how to drive or know how to use on-hold button.
I would understand if I have to get use to the new car but this...
They drove it on the tiny slope on their service bay with on-hold button from stealth and it's not even simulating 10% of real situation...

At current I drive Honda, BMW,Merc and VW.
How much different can it be???
    Am I wrong?

My other cars, I drove off the dealer and never worried or made a hiss.
Just drive happy and service when the time comes.

VW seems to think that I need a DSG or VW degree to drive their car....
If so, why the hell do they not teach or advise...

None of my issues nor problem came to resolution, not even close...
    Now, I have a headache.

    My apologies to you all.
Much too much whine. I am chirpy and jolly person... this is not me!!!

    That is a real shame.
    Maybe try another dealership.

Did you give the service crew the Tehnical Bulletin number form the link that i provided above?

    Yes, I did.

One of the service manager told me not too listen nor read too much into others/internet/forum...
Then he proceed to tell me that mine is pre fixed that's why there's nothing showing on their system.
So, I asked where's that information, he couldn't tell but said that his mechanic couldn't hear any rattling so it's fixed.

I can't crawl under the car to see it for myself, so I can't tell...
Regardless, why the hell should I crawl under the darn car.^^
