Faulty Fuse Holder causes Multiple Electrical Fault Messages
Today I went to pick up my daughter from school. I parked at the school, quickly picked her up (10 mins) and then drove away. After 2 minutes of driving the following lights have stopped working in my Tiguan:
- front right headlight
- front right indicator
- rear left indicator
- rear middle break light
- rear left fog light
The indicator sound was quick and the error messages appeared on my MVD one after another: "Check front right..." and so on. WTH???
After I arrived to my destination I confirmed visually that the lights didnt work indeed. I spent there an hour and then drove away again. Guess what? Everything was working again perfectly! WTH??? In the meantime, I called VW Service and booked the car in for next week Monday.
FYI: my car had been serviced a week ago, they replaced my original factory installed GPS and radio aerial and re-ran the antenna cable from the head unit to the antenna.
After that I had the flat battery on the weekend (NRMA replaced it) and today this strange electrical issue. Coincidence?
I am not a car mechanic (just an engineer), but it seems like something is loose, maybe a ground wire?
