    Farewell Tiguan

    Hi all

After 4.5 years the Tiguan has been sold, and replaced with a LR Evoque. Must say the Tiguan has been one of the best, and I would have stayed with another except the MY15 looks much the same as the MY11 inside and out (nice to have variety).

    What I loved

    - Fuel economy
    - Drivability
    - Space inside

    What I disliked

    - I should have got leather seats
    - Seats lacked support on a long trip
    - DSG quirks (thought I got used to them and every now and again it would do odd things)

Either way someone got a great car, will hang around the forum because I suspect in 18 months the other car will be replaced and I can see a Golf GTI would look good in the garage.

    Glad you enjoyed the Tig.

The LR Evoque is another step up again in price and extra which the Tig can't really compete with but a lot of ex tiguan owners are going that way.

Another option is the new Skoda Octavia Scout heaps more room than the Evoque and Tiguan with about 20mm less clearance. Quality and spec does not look too bad either for 45k drive away for the 135TDi

Hi Bamba, looked real hard at the Skoda a few times, just didnt work for me, like the ground clearance, of an SUV (yes it gets semi off road, so nice to clear a few things), and agree great value package
