Not the spring travel, more the rate - Eibach progressive rate springs have improved the "low impact/small bump" ride whilst giving better handling and lower CofG (the desired effect), but am trying to insulate the car more from small bumps and ripples that are rife on our roads (lucky to have 1km which is the same road surface - patches on patches). I know I'll never get rid of it altogether, just trying to tone it down as much as possible
The rate is what concerns me - the "soft" portion of the springs are probably close to being coil bound with just the vehicle weight (else the vehicle would take a big "set" on corner entry) so you would only get the softer ride for quite small bumps and then you are in the stiffer portion of the springs where you are also underdamped, giving a jouncy ride.

Smaller wheels with taller sidewalls aren't a bad option, though - not many here would take that step.

Could be, but initial impression is that the Eibachs give better bump absorption (on smaller stuff anyway) - could be in trouble if I go offroad and hit any bigger bumps though
Hoping the higher tyres would give more cushioning though. Guess I'm pushing s*&t uphill a bit, but coilovers might be only true solution (sigh)

Would look grouse with your peppergray though Tigomatic
Any chance Tigomatic can photochop these for you also?

The taller tyres will definitely help - I downsized an inch for my daily tyres after fitting a B12 kit to return some cushioning.

A good set of dampers would go well with those springs - you don't have to go the coilover route for better damping.

Yes, am regretting now not going the extra expense and getting shocks as well - was considering Koni FSD, but a few people on reviews and Ian at Rennenhaus have said that they had trouble with them failing. Koni Yellows (sports adjustable) might be a better bet though. If I flog it enough I might be able to wear out original shocks quick enough to justify getting them
I guess you're right about coilovers - not going racing and probably not savvy enough to set them up right anyway
    Cheers
