It's common for a lot of us with the Skoda Octavia 149 DSG
After two years of swallowing 3+ liters of oil between oil changes, I've discovered Liqui Moly Visco-Stabil Visco-Plus
It increases the hot viscosity without changing the cold viscosity
I costs $40 for 1L, put 250ml into the engine
I've done over 2,000km and this seems to have eliminated my oil consumption issue and the blue smoke which was occurring from time to time
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst

Get it checked out, VW Australia, and different VW Service Dept’s kept telling me it was normal, turns out there was a fault with one the pistons which caused the engine to leak oil into the engine. The car eventually broke down and couldn’t be driven, ended up having to have the engine stripped down and rebuilt. Which has opened up another lot of problems keep pushing
