Engine oil gas line and intake manifold

Hi Guys,

We've had the engine light on since January and after going back repeatedly, last month we replaced the oil separator that was blocked. Only recently, we have an a rough idle, EPC light and engine light on, the car went into limp mode and now we have to replace the intake manifold.

Are these 2 parts related during the repair process? I am asking because the time between the repair and the intake manifold issue was only weeks apart.

Are they related at all if one part fails?
