The one on the right hand side is the regular beam light.
The one on the left is the high beam light.
The DRL's are apparently in the strip where the indicator i located at the bottom (from memory)
I currently bought a 2011 Tiguan. I found there is a small light just next to the main headlight.
But I haven't seen it on even I tried the light switch in different position. Is this related to daytime headlight?

I thought the DRL was through the parking lights? - like a Golf 6.

Are we actually talking about xenons or non-xenons?
If it's the former, then the bulb that doesn't appear to light up is probably the static cornering lights.
It only turns on when you're turning to light up the sides better.

if youre referring to what team V is pointing to (little strip below highbeam) yes its DRL
DRL do not work on auto mode, you need to activate it by manually
from memory mine works as follows (from left to right)
off > auto > head lights > DRL
Then when you pull the dial out when on headlights or DRL either by one or two notches you get your front or rear lights (if you have them)
also apparently you can use VCDS to program your foggies to run as DRL too

Yes, with refer to team_V photo provided, I can only manually switch that DRL either ON or OFF and the DRL is yellowish color and is not as bright as I expected. I just wonder has any people have it changed into LED strip.
