[QUOTE=blutopless2;295564]thanks for the info... went to see one yesterday at the dealership.. asked whether it was a two function (tilt or slide) and he said no... it only slides open yet the specs from the internet gave me the impression that it had the two functions.. QUOTE]

blutopless, I had the same experience when I first saw one at dealers, salesperson could not show me the "tilt" function.

the knob on other VW sunroofs turns one way for slide, the other for tilt. On the Tig pano roof you have to tilt the button for tilt, and rotate for slide.

But the tilt is not as pronounced due to the size of the roof, still very good for sucking out hot air!

    cheers

we are looking at 125TSI manual in mountain grey with :
    sunroof
    rns510
    comfort pack
    fog lights
    leather
    park assist
18" wheels (was looking at 19's but dont like the flared guards that come with them)
    tow bar
    side steps
    door sill scuff plates
    ipod adaptor
    luggage net
    boot liner

am guessing the above will be full retail price... so this will end up cheaper and think i will delete some options. get rid of the rns510 and ipod adaptor and run the avc9000 unit. also dont really need the towbar as i have one on the jetta.
then definitely thinking of the chip upgrade to 180kW.

anyone know if the leather seats are heated?
salesman said they are but options list does not mention it only says electric drivers seat.

i had a good laugh when we tested one as the salesman said that our pram (mountain buggy) would easily fit inside the hatch. had it in the jetta so took it in to try it and he looked quite embarrassed that it wouldn't fit in.. i have to try our other pram (mclaren) coz if that dont fit then no point in buying the car.

They certainly are everywhere else so I assume they are in Ausi. Didn't "say" they were heated here either but they were.

Bootspace is probably the main reason it failed to win Wheels' COTY...... they could not fit a pram inside ..... never mind the rest of the gear required in addition to the pram if you have an infant onboard ....

It is a big issue for my wife whose car it will be. She gave the boot 1 look and said it won't do. Since it will be a runaround only I'm still trying to convince her otherwise.

You can slide the rear seats forward which gives you a bit more depth, but at the expense of the rear legroom.

yeah i noticed that when we were fiddling around with the interior stuff. rear leg room not an issue on the passenger side as this is where the baby seat will go.. but shouldn't have to move the whole back seat forward to fit a pram in it.
It just doesn't seem wide enough. will have to take our other pram in on the weekend for a test fit.

How about taking the Tig to a pram shop and finding a pram to fit the car!

Pity you can't get a drive of a remapped 125, I don't think the boot space would be an issue somehow.
