considering a Tiguan

am considering a tiguan over the next few months - have to sell a polo gti first... and wondering if anyone has the sunroof fitted??
how big is it? i haven't been able to get hold of pictures of one.
so if you've got one can you post pics of it for me?

thanks... i understand that there are heaps of pics around... but none that i have found show the sunroof with any detail...
plenty you can tell have a sunroof.. but want an overhead shot of one.

I just remembered I took a shot of one at the Adelaide Motor Show in 2008

Only one shot though from the back seat

No overhead shots as I'm to short

I have the sunroof, it's BIG, in two parts, front part tilts up a little at the back or slides over the back part, almost all the way.
passengers in the back seat get to enjoy the view up as well.
Also, because there is only a cloth sunshade that rolls across the roof on the inside, the interior is always light and airy.

Because I live in the tropics I had the roof tinted as well, to lessen the heat comingh through. Innitially it was a concern, but in practice (and in summer) the aircon copes admirably.

I had a Golf previously with a s/roof, this one's much bigger and very similar to what can be found on Audi A3.

thanks for the info... went to see one yesterday at the dealership.. asked whether it was a two function (tilt or slide) and he said no... it only slides open yet the specs from the internet gave me the impression that it had the two functions.. initially the front section would tilt up to get over the back half but it will not stop in this position.
wife is undecided as she likes the smaller ones that come in the polo or golf.
lots of options to decide upon as we want the manual.
told it will definitely be a 6 month wait.

I was told that too, but it arrived in 3 months fully optioned with my specs. The manual box and clutch operation is v good, and a great match especially for the TSI.

they told us there is a delivery in about 6 weeks or so but they doubt with our spec list that there would be one on the boat with what we want.
not a prob as we have to sell a car anyways before ordering the tiguan.
and we still have to test fit our pram into it before the final decision.
