Hey Guys,

A cigarette lighter does not come standard nor are there ashtrays? Is that socket just considered a multi-purpose outlet these days?

I don't smoke nor would allow anyone to in my car and seems like VW are suggesting you shouldn't smoke in their lovely cars.

That's exactly what they're suggesting, the "smoking package" is available as an extra and gives you an ashtray and a cigarette lighter.
