    Changing Parking Lights

Stupid question and I'm expecting a few KW's, but how do you change the parking bulbs in a Tig with the standard headlight cluster? I've done a Google search as well as tried to wing it but it doesn't look too simple.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

I have xenons so maybe a little different.

But surely it can't be that hard? Diagram and instructions are in the owners manual aren't they?

Nevertheless, I find it's easier to pull the park light end plug with a long nose pliers.
Cause the hole for the whole lighting unit is kinda small for big hands.

But a problem you surely can overcome easily!

Just ask one of the chicks who just lost their virginity overnight in the Jetta, to pull it out for you!

I had occasion to do this yesterday[pull out the parking lite globe]
If you look at page 349 of your manual it shows you how to do it.you pull off the rubber boot labelled "A" and look inside you will see a banana shaped little handle thingy. It then says lift up and pull out.The globe is attached to this plastic slide/handle.Just remove the globe and replace with a new one and then reverse the procedure.Easy! 5 min. job.
Whilst i am on the subject can someone give me a link to where I can source the error free l.e.d. globes to replace the existing weak yellowish one that is there now.I looked up on ebay and there is a mob in uk that sells the error free leds but it is a totally different shape to a normal globei.e its like a mimni circut board with one led attached. Will it fir into the parking lite lens.
    Regards Phil

If you're talking park bulbs, then yes those mini circuit board looking things will work!

Just buy on eBay and I'd suggest from Hong Kong cause usually cheap and free shipping!

You can even get ones that have up to 5 leds (from memory) with four on the sides and one right on the tip facing out!

    Like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CANBUS-BU...item2eb60a7fd0

However make sure the overall diameter of the bulb is no wider than width of the end connector.

Otherwise it won't fill through the hole (even with KY)!

Thanks for the reply guys but our manual has gone MIA. I'm going to call Austral tomorrow because surely they would've logged the service undertaken about a month ago and the manual hasn't been touched since...
