Yeah first look at the DP/heatshield to see if there’s any contact/rubbing.

DSG tune should increase clamp rates for the higher torque you’re putting through now.

Ok cool I might have to keep an eye on it in the meantime, it's so odd that it doesn't happen in higher gears...

First gear can be a bit clunky on downshift as the synchros engage.

After everything the Tig has been through, I think it's fair to say she has earned her "R" badges!

The rear end looks a lot cleaner now I reckon

Hey mate, looks good without the badges. Did you notice an increase in noise/drone from the cts downpipe or does it sound 'stock'?

Thanks mate, I was debating leaving the TSI badge on the right hand side but I'm glad I took it all off.

Definitely noticeable, but personally I don't find it too intrusive. It comes alive inside the cabin when driving hard but when you're potting around you just get a subtle drone.

There really isn't too much you can do with exhausts on our engines. I get a drone on stock exhaust around 1100-1300rpm. Really noticeable when I'm in 6th gear at 60KMH in D.

Did you sort out that thumping noise you were getting?

I don't mind the noise tbh but I will always be a boy racer deep down hahaha!

I've noticed the thumping comes back after driving the car on the freeway (for at least 30 mins) or after driving it hard. If I drive it like a normal person it's pretty much non existent.

That vibration keeps coming back though, I'm convinced something is rubbing up against the heat shield...

    Hey Ceres,

With your discharge pipe photo, could you possibly be missing a hose clamp at the rubber hose connection there??

Hahaha well spotted! I found out the hard way when I took her for a drive shortly after taking that photo, had a lovely squealing noise on boost and had to get under the car again. What a muppet.
