I was trying to find the build date plate for my new tiguan with no success.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where is the build date plate located?

Try under the carpet in the boot.

Its a sticker rather than a plate.

Thanks found it, it's on the right hand corner of the boot and it's a plate. But I can't seem to find the vehicle data sticker.
