    Boot liner or Boot mat

    Hi

Which is better - a boot liner or a boot mat or are both required? Looking at Ebay.

    Thanks

The boot liners are apparently water resistant and would be more durable due to the fact they are not made of carpet.

Aren't these made from the same flimsy material as the old McDonald's hamburger cartons? I'm pretty sure they're rather flimsy and not likely to take much of a beating before they'd be damaged.

Personally, for the same price, I reckon these would be far better.

What you need is a boot liner with a extension flap for when you put the seats down.
I've already scratched up the smooth plastic that is the back of the centre armrest/drinkholder, even though I had put down a plastic sheet,

I ended up getting the reversible and extendable mat/carpet geniune part from VW. It is top quality and made in Germany. Get a good trade price and enjoy it, you won't regret it if you wish to keep your Tig clean and free from scratches. Also if you upgrade to a new Tiguan in years ahead it will most likely fit. I use it when I pick up LCD TVs and other bits when I put the seats down. It sits there permanently. Love it!
