    Bluetooth in RNS-510

Has anyone had any dramas connecting to and using the Premium bluetooth within RNS510?
We have a problem accessing the phone book and calls made etc. We also cannot get messages on the screen. Seems like we have the standard bluetooth and not the premium!!
    HELP!
    Thanks

How much did you pay for the bluetooth system? If it was around 600 -700, you have the standard system. The premium is around $2000 extra.

Where can I find out more about the differences in the standard/premium systems? My dealer confirmed my contacts would display on the screen with the system they offered me for about $1000.

For around $1000 you will not get the factory premium system rather an aftermarket system installed by your dealer. You need to contact him.

I Paid $1,700 for what I hoped is a Premium system.

Does anyone know how to tell which is which? Maybe they installed the basic system in error.

I was in a dealers the other day looking at quotes for a Tiguan. He offered 3 different types of Bluetooth, one of which he described as 'premium'. But, NONE of them were in the same league functionally as the Skoda kit that I've got installed in my R32's RNS510.

As best I can tell, all of the Australian dealer options are faint shadows of the European offerings.

It was not that the incorrect unit was fitted - it was that my phone was not compatible. The phone would not6 access everything. I purchased a new Nokia 6120 classic and that seemed to fix the problem. Probably something to be aware of - just because you have bluetooth does not mean that you will be able to acccess all of the benefits of the "Premium" bluetooth.
