My best friend has recently bought a 2009 (I think) Tig, which she loves. I gave her a bluetooth unit I bought to put in mine (but I sold the car before it got installed) - the unit was out of an Amarok and is compatible.
She is looking for recommendations of someone who can install it for her - the locall dealer has been less than helpful (in this and other areas...she loves the car but hates the dealer!!!) so I thought maybe someone on here has connections, or experience of someone they can recommend. She is in the Stawell area of Victoria; happy to drive a little way but would like to keep it reasonably local eg not having to go 3 hours into Melbourne etc.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received! Thanx!
Unfortunately the dealers (and other large workshops) are often not that helpful when you go to them with parts to fit.
Reasons being:
1) they make no money on the part
2) they have no idea where the part is from and if it is actually going to fit/work
3) if there are any problems with fitting/coding it they are the ones the customer is going to point the finger at
So there's really not much to sell it for the dealer/workshop. Unless they are really quiet and looking for things to do then I'm not surprised with the response.
Sorry it doesn't help much. You could try and see if you can find a helpful forum member to assist with the install and coding.
