Nice solution, I like the way it drops the height of the fridge as well. Well done !!

Thank you for the comment. We are very happy with the solution because it makes the Tiguan so useable for camping. For every day use it's a pain, but it does give you usable space below the existing floor.

I keep a gel based puncture repair kit in my tiguan along with the space saver rubber.

But if i ever need to drive long distance, i will also bring a spare full sized wheel / tyre.

That should cover me from 3 tyres puncture eh?

If anyone needs any full size spares, we have wrecked several late model Tiguans, so have good stocks of 16" & 17" full size wheel / tyre combinations.

If anyone needs any, drop me a line!

Good news for anyone looking for a full size spare.

Though it has me wondering what you're doing with all those Tig bits

I'm gathering these were write-offs bought for the engine/drivetrain??

I wish I got a pic of it, but I was overtaken by a guy in a black Tig the other day in an 80 zone. As he came up behind me I looked at his car and thought it looked odd, when he passed I saw why..... He had not one but 3 space savers on and was doing roughly 90km when he passed me bopping away to some tunes. At the next set of lights I came up next to him and saw the stickers on the wheel said MAX 50km/hr.
