Even on a brand new battery if you're playing and leave the ignition on for a long time, you will discharge the battery.
Picked up my Tig last night and had a good play with the MFD, Bluetooth, etc.
Got up this morning and the battery didn't have enough charge to start the motor, so I had to use the battery from the Forester GT that I parted out a couple of months ago. It was a lucky fit, although it doesn't have the ridge on the bottom to lock it down.
Anyway, i've put the VW battery on charge and have reset the windows and steering, even though I'll have to do it again later today.
Just wondering if I may have been caught out by something that I was playing with / played too much, that has caused the battery to drain, or its just bad luck (unlikely).
Is there anything else that required a reset?

Yeah, had to look that one up in the manual. German intuitive isn't the same as Japanese intuitive.

I thought the combination of car sitting in the lot and me driving it home and playing with it might be the problem. Oh well, guess I leave the battery on charge for a day or two.
You will probably have a number of low voltage fault codes logged which can be cleared with VCDS or your dealer.
